Register operations include real time inventory update, exception reporting for non-standard transactions and problem identification, inventory item on-screen look up by description, part number or PLU, customer look up by ID card scan or magnetic stripe, or by on-screen name or ID number look up.
Keyboard
The ARBAPRO programmable keyboard is organized into separate sections for register and management functions, with familiar register keys and operations. Employee numbers allow register access, and every transaction performed is recorded by the computer, providing security, employee sales tracking and usage monitoring.

The information on ARBAPRO price and shelf tags provides additional security, giving your employees at-a-glance information that can help prevent price switching. ARBAPRO bar code printing will print either manufacturer’s symbology or system-assigned code numbers, giving you the flexibility you need to make the system work for you.
Customer receipt allows you to customize beginning and ending messages, including cashier’s name, detailed purchase information, PLU number/description, and tax status. Glossary:
Cash register:
A cash register (US English) or till (British English) is a mechanical or electronic device for calculating and recording sales transactions, and an attached cash drawer for storing cash. The cash register also usually prints a receipt for the customer.
In most cases the drawer can be opened only after a sale, except when using a special keys, which only senior employees and the owner have. This reduces the risk of employees stealing from the shop owner by not recording a sale and pocketing the money, when a customer does not need a receipt but has to be given change (cash is more easily checked against recorded sales than inventory). read more Cash Register
