ARBAPRO CAFÉ Software Enhancements

At ARBA Retail Systems, our mission is to provide the right POS software and hardware tools to enable greater retail success for our customers.  We pride ourselves on listening to our customers, so that we may understand and respond to their evolving retail business needs.   Here are a few of the ARBAPRO Café software enhancements we have recently released.
Sales by Item, by Hour, by Department

Having the right food available, in the right amount and at the right time of the day is vital for the smooth operation of your busy hospital cafeteria.  This valuable new reporting capability will take the guess work out of production planning, and help ensure that your customers may purchase the food and beverages they want, when they want it.  ARBAPRO’s Sales by Item, by Hour, by Department report also helps you know when to replenish cooler and Grab ‘N Go items, ensuring you offer the optimal mix of beverages, pre-package salads, pre-packaged sandwiches, desserts and other tasty treats that draw your customers into the cafeteria. 


 This new report is included in the matrix of daily sales reports for both single and multi-location configurations, and the format is similar to the Daily Sales by Department Report. PLU Items and Manual Sales Department Items grouped first by hour or meal period definable by user, (from first hour of sales activity to last hour of sales activity), then grouped in department number order within the hour, then grouped in PLU number order or manual sales department number order. The format is similar to Daily Sales by Department Report.

 

Meal Credit for Dietary Staff
Many hospital cafeterias need a method for automatically tracking and storing food credits awarded to their Dietary staff.  This meal credit for your Dietary staff is loadable by week, with a preload capability available.  Meal credits may be automatically tracked for any individual or any group, as long as they are identified by customer type. 

 

Calculation and Display of Employee’s Available “Credit” for Employee Payroll Deductions
ARBAPRO’s Payroll Deduction software has calculated and displayed each employee’s current payroll deduction balance for many years.  ARBAPRO Payroll Deduction software now also includes the added feature of a calculation and display of each employee’s available credit, which is based on the employee’s credit limit minus their current accounts receivable balance.  Both current balance and available credit automatically calculate and display at any hospital retail area using ARBAPRO Payroll Deductions.  

 

Period-to-Date (PTD) Media Report Enhancement
ARBAPRO software now provides a PTD Media Report for cumulative cash reconciliation by day, week, month and/or year.

 

Single Item Browse Key
This gives you a single item key access to inventory maintenance browse, and immediate availability to touch screen editor on key creation. Allows register configuration, single item key in Keys, and ability to access (ellipsis, insert key) the Inventory Maintenance Browse List to easily acquire an Item’s PLU for the Single Key. Also allows for full inventory browse functionality: add a new item to inventory or edit existing item while creating the single item key.   

 

Enhanced Financial Reporting and Security
Here are a few of the ARBAPRO software enhancements which accommodate the reporting and security requirements of hospital Foodservice Areas managed by a Foodservice Operator: 

  • Void All and Void Item description is changed to Cancel All, Cancel Item
  • Non-Resetting “Hash” grand total on register X/Z reports
  • No Sale counter to X/ Z-tape and Media report and cashier tape/Z
  • House Charge / Payroll Deductions: Subtotaled by customer type on X/Z reports
  • Credit Cards: Subtotaled by card type on X/Z and media reports
  • Separate Void All total to X/Z and media report, including totals for items on receipts under Void All action
